Zanis Medical Antibacterial Lamp Technology
The antibacterial lamp technology in Zanis Medical lamps works by emitting safe, visible, UV-free light from advanced LEDs. This light targets porphyrin molecules found in pathogens (harmful viruses, bacteria, and fungi) and stimulates the production of Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) inside these microorganisms (similar to the effect of bleach). These ROS create an oxidative environment that deactivates and destroys the microbes, preventing their reproduction in the environment. Since human skin cells (keratinocytes) naturally lack free light-sensitive porphyrins, the light from Zanis Medical antibacterial lamps does not produce harmful ROS in human or animal cells, making them completely safe. The visible light also reflects off walls and surfaces, helping to reduce microbes even in shaded areas.
